A video of Sen. Imee Marcos from the campaign period has surfaced online with false claims that she was urging her brother, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., to resign.
The spliced video was posted on TikTok, showing Senator Marcos asking a question about an unnamed individual’s resignation.
The uploader made it look like it was a sarcastic remark toward his brother, Marcos Jr., by superimposing a caption that read: “Imee Marcos pina resign ang kanyang kapatid si BBM (sic).”

The full version of the video can be found reposted on X (formerly Twitter). Senator Marcos’ official TikTok account was indicated in the watermark and ending credits as the source.
As of writing, the original video has been removed from the senator’s official TikTok account.
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) website, there is no official announcement regarding President Marcos Jr.’s resignation.
