CLAIM: Vice President Sara Duterte asked Filipinos to send money to her GCash account.

A video containing an AI-generated photo that falsely depicts Vice President Sara Duterte soliciting money through GCash while holding a QR code has surfaced on Facebook.

The video was posted by a Facebook page called “Bayan Buzz” with the caption: “Sara Duterte AI,” indicating that the uploader was aware that the video was artificially generated.

The video also featured a voice-over supposedly of the vice president, asking for donations.

No such video or related content can be found on the vice president’s official Facebook page, official YouTube channel, or on the official website of the Office of the Vice President (OVP)..
