Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has denied the contents of a quote card attributed to her about negative campaigning in the upcoming elections.

“Hello! I did not say this. Let us not spread fake news. Don’t believe all quotes that you see online. Let’s make it a habit to double check our sources,” the beauty queen said in a March 28, 2022 response to a Twitter post, which has since been deleted.

“I appreciate your comments relating to the post. But let’s always be mindful of what we share. Double check our sources, triple check if needed. No to fake news!” she added.
