A fabricated Pulse Asia survey surfaced on Facebook a day before the May 12 senatorial and local elections.
The post by “Cebu News Updates” claimed that Pulse Asia surveyed 1,200 individuals in Cebu province with gubernatorial candidate Pamela Baricuatro supposedly leading the polls.
The post also painted Baricuatro in a more positive light against incumbent Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia.
In a public post, Pulse Asia President Ronald Holmes denounced the fictitious survey result, saying that the firm never conducted a survey in Cebu.
