A Facebook reel falsely claimed that former president Rodrigo Duterte is a Coca-Cola endorser.
The video, reuploaded by Izang Wineland, was originally taken at a convenience store supposedly located in “Orlando CA,” as indicated by the text in the original clip.
The video shows customized Coke in cans with labels such as “FPRRD” (short for Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte), “Mabuhay ka Tatay (FPRRD),” and “We love you (FPRRD) -Aringkingking.”
The reuploaded version, misleadingly captioned “Endorsement na c Tay Digs o Coke,” included two AI-generated photos of Duterte holding a Coke.
On April 11, the original uploader, Flying Aringkingking, posted on Facebook that he personally bought the customized cans to show love and support for Duterte.
In a separate post, he called out those who shared his video without crediting and using clickbait captions to gain views.
